WAFD Charter Statement

The purpose of WAFD is to promote the quality and integrity of the fastener industry through the commitment of its members to educate and encourage one another by association. In joining together, we recognize the worth of each member, respecting their uniqueness and utilizing the great strength and value of our diversity. Our commitment to one another is demonstrated through participation in the functions of WAFD and the dedication of each member to grow in knowledge and understanding of our product for the benefit of this industry, its customers, and its suppliers. The common goal is to help each member become as good as they can be. We believe in doing so WAFD will continue fresh, vital, and focused regarding the future of our industry and a source of information, direction, and encouragement for its members and their customers.

Welcome to the WAFD web site. We're glad you found us.

The Western Association of Fastener Distributors is one of the most active regional associations in the fastener industry.

WAFD represents the fastener trade in the western United States and Canada. From the small distributor to the large distributor, we can all share thoughts and ideas, problems and solutions, good news and bad news, with each other -- for the good of the industry and our own businesses.

Our membership represents not only the commercial fastener distributor, but the aerospace and electronic trades as well. Our scope is the western United States, and our members are not only distributors, but importers, manufacturers, product reps and associated businesses.

Even though our members are spread out geographically, we are a close knit, friendly group, with many members attending conferences just for the networking and social opportunities.

WAFD strives to provide conference programs that enrich our membership through education and open discussions. One of the constant favorite sessions during our conferences is the Business Owners Forum. Here business owners and key executives come together and discuss issues that are relevant in running their businesses. Topics can range from employee motivation to business ethics, succession planning to vendor relations. This is a free flowing session and attendees set the agenda through their discussions.

Once again, we're happy you visited. Look around and contact the WAFD office or any of the Board members for more information.
